High Wycombe Library
Work done
This hi-tech library was fitted out on behalf of Buckinghamshire County Council and forms an important part of High Wycombe’s shopping and leisure complex, the Eden centre.
The four-storey, 22,000 sq ft building was equipped with improved book select and return facilities, local studies and family history research areas, exhibition space for local arts and museums, adult learning facilities, quiet study, teenagers’ “Headspace” areas and a childrens library.
New lighting and glazed partitions were installed to create a modern, state-of-the-art feel, whilst sliding, folding, acoustic walls provide flexibility of floor space.
