Not many jobs provide the opportunity to disturb the beauty sleep of a Hollywood A-lister. But a recent project to refurbish the main bar in one of London’s top hotels coincided with the UK premier of one of the year’s blockbusters.

All of the hotel’s guests are important but Hollywood types do naturally attract both the public and media eye. Which makes it all the more difficult if you are trying to strip-out and refurbish a substantial bar area within the hotel itself.

As for keeping Halle Berry up all night? Of course we didn’t. Work was programmed into acceptable periods of the day, and we remained in constant contact with the hotel staff. If at any moment work was noticed by a hotel guest we stopped, and worked around the problem.
