Fittings, furnishings and equipment from the existing ground floor library were also relocated to the fourth floor, including the issues and enquiries desk, security turnstiles and book alarms, and photocopiers and self issue machines.
The project included electrical works such as new lighting, power, data, fire alarm and security camera systems; and mechanical works such as new ductwork and cooling system. Works also included demolition of a strong wall, new dwarf walls, floor finishes and decoration.
