Imperial College London
Project description
Vivid repaired the glass atrium roofs of the Munro, Lees and Kennedy Buildings on Imperial College London’s Silwood Park Campus in Ascot, Berkshire. The roofs had been leaking, causing damage in the stairwells. The double glazed roof units were replaced and weather-proofed with new lead work and the gutters adapted to suit the new layout. Inside, metal lathe was installed in the walls of the stairwells to prevent future cracking. A number of mastic joints were replaced and the walls re-plastered and decorated. The work was carried out in phases, three stairwells at a time, to allow the college to function as normal and provide safe access to the buildings.
